Mitigation Company vs Rebuild Contractor: What's the Difference?
After a water or fire loss there are two jobs. Mitigation stops the damage and dries the house out. The rebuild puts it back the way it was.
Mitigation
This is the emergency part: getting the water out, setting up drying equipment, checking moisture and removing what can't be saved. Done right, it also decides how big the rebuild has to be. Material that's dried properly can often stay. Material that's left wet or torn out without a reason makes the rebuild bigger than it needed to be.
The rebuild
Drywall, insulation, flooring, trim, paint, cabinets and anything else that came out. The goal is getting the space back to its original condition.
Why one company for both is easier
When two companies split the job, the homeowner ends up in the middle: two schedules, two estimates and two sets of calls with the adjuster. We do both. The same people who dried it out know exactly what was removed and why, and they put it back. We work with insurance every day, so you can relax while the space gets brought back.
