Water Damage Restoration in Elk River and the North Metro
Whether it is a failed water heater, a supply line under the sink, or water coming in through the foundation, the first 24 to 48 hours matter most. Wet drywall, carpet pad, and framing can start growing mold in that window. Our job is to stop the damage from spreading and get the structure dry.
Call (612) 991-5525 any time, day or night.
What happens when you call
- We find and stop the source, or tell you who needs to.
- We extract standing water and pull out materials that cannot be saved, like soaked carpet pad and wet drywall.
- We set drying equipment and take moisture readings every day until the structure is back to normal.
- We document everything with photos and moisture logs for your insurance claim.
- Once it is dry, we do the repairs: drywall, flooring, trim, and paint.
Common calls we get
- Water heater and washing machine failures
- Burst supply lines and frozen pipes
- Basement water after heavy rain or snowmelt
- Toilet and appliance overflows
- Leaks found behind walls or under flooring
- Sewage backups
Working with insurance
We write itemized estimates and keep drying records your adjuster can review. Your insurance company may suggest a contractor, but you can call anyone you want for an estimate. Coverage questions go to your insurance company or agent. More on insurance claims.
Common questions
Do I have to use the contractor my insurance company sends? Your insurance company may suggest a contractor, but you can call anyone you want for an estimate. Questions about what your policy covers go to your insurance company or agent. We send your adjuster the photos, moisture readings and estimate they need.
What will I pay out of pocket? If you're filing a claim, you pay your deductible to us when the rebuild starts, and your insurance company pays for the rest of the approved work. Anything you choose to add or upgrade is priced in writing before we do it. Minnesota law doesn't allow contractors to pay or cover your deductible, so be careful with anyone who offers to.
Does it cost anything to have you come look? No. Coming out and giving you a written price is free.
How long does drying take? Most rooms are dry in 3 to 5 days. We check moisture every day and send you the readings and photos.
How long until my house is put back together? We get you on the schedule right away. Most rebuilds start within two weeks of the dry-out, depending on where your insurance claim is at if you're filing one.
Who do I call with questions? Ben. You get his cell, (612) 991-5525, and he answers it.
What if you find more damage once the walls are open? We stop, take photos, show you, and send the update to your adjuster before doing any extra work. Nothing gets added without you knowing.
Will the new materials match? We match what you had as closely as possible and show you samples before anything is ordered.
Should I pull up the wet carpet before you get here? No. Shut off the water and move what you can. Pulling carpet too early can ruin something we might have been able to save.
Do I need to be home? No. Lots of customers are at work or out of town. We can use a lockbox and send photos at the end of each day.
When do I sign off? When the work is done and you're happy with it. We walk through it with you first.
